You can be a member of the council, or if you really want to get involved, you can run for an elected position on the council which gives you voting rights on a campus level and additional leadership opportunities! There are many perks that come with being an active member of the council such as becoming eligible for scholarships, leadership experience, conferencing opportunities, free prints, free lockouts, and more!
